Harry Kane has once again been denounced by his main critic, former Bayern Munich and Liverpool star Dietmar Hamann.
Hamann called Kane “very poor” for his performance in Bayern’s 1-0 Champions League victory over PSG and questioned his future at elite level.
Kane has already scored 20 goals in 18 games this season and is one of the most prolific men in the Champions League with five goals in as many games.
His tally of 14 Bundesliga goals is second only to Robert Lewandowski’s 15 at Barcelona in Europe’s top five leagues, but that is still not enough for Hamann.
“I went to the game yesterday and I have to say it was very bad, I don’t think he had a shot on goal and yesterday he played practically the same way as he did at the Euros with England,” Hamann told talkSPORT.
“I think it’s still not known if he achieved it against the best teams, because he didn’t do it with England.

Former Bayern star Hamann not afraid to criticize his former club’s players if he is not impressed
“I watched him against Ireland last week and he was poor. He played a wonderful ball for the penalty but, honestly, that’s not enough for an England captain.
“There are 18, 19 or 20 months until the World Cup. Will he be the player or captain to lead the England line?
Having won five trophies with Bayern, including two Bundesliga titles in 1994 and 1997, Hamann is entitled to his opinion on the German giant and regularly criticizes their shortcomings.
In October he criticized Kane for missing important games, saying: “I said after the European Championship in the summer that he has yet to prove he is worth the 100 million, even though he scored more than 30 goals last year.”
“He wasn’t signed to score a hat-trick against Darmstadt. He was signed to score against Leverkusen and Aston Villa and score in the Champions League quarter-finals. He hasn’t done it yet. I’m still skeptical about the star striker “.
Kane scored 10 goals in 12 Champions League games for Bayern last season as the German giants reached the semi-finals before losing to Real Madrid.
Even though Kane finished the 2023-24 campaign with 43 goals in 44 games in all competitions, Bayern failed to win a trophy for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
Kane is yet to win a team trophy during his senior career, but it is not for lack of goals. In total, he has scored 429 goals.
