A tragic incident in Russia’s Krasnoyarsk region claimed the life of 17-year-old Milena Shevelyova, who was fatally mauled by pigs while tending the family’s small property alone. Milena had gone to the pigsty to feed the animals while her parents were in town. Information indicate that she was attacked by a large and aggressive sow, which knocked her down and caused her to lose consciousness.
After the initial assault, the other pigs in the pigsty joined in and caused fatal injuries. “All the other pigs attacked her.” reported he Bad news Telegram channel. “The animals ripped out her femoral artery and bit her. “Milena died from blood loss.”
The young woman suffered multiple injuries to her head and body from the bites of the pigs. Her parents, unable to reach her by phone, asked a friend to come check on her. Tragically, the friend discovered Milena’s lifeless body in the pigsty. “The parents told the police that the pig had always been angry and aggressive,” said the added report. A paramedic team confirmed his death at the scene.
Authorities immediately launched an investigation. The prosecutor of the Uzhursky district of Krasnoyarsk visited the scene of the incident and the victim’s body was sent for forensic examination to confirm the exact cause of death. “The conditions that contributed to the tragedy are being established,” the prosecutor’s office said.
“If there are reasons, all necessary procedural measures will be taken.” A criminal case has been opened for death by negligence. Milena’s boyfriend, Vladimir Bedny, 18, mourned her loss on social media, writing: “You will remain forever in my heart. Forgive me for everything, my dearest girl.”
The tragedy has shocked the local community, raising questions about safety measures in place for handling aggressive livestock. As the investigation continues, authorities are expected to examine the circumstances surrounding Milena’s death to prevent similar incidents in the future.
