Most popular Powerball numbers
Powerball is drawn from two barrels. The numbers one through 35 are drawn from the main barrel and a Powerball number, between one and 20, is drawn from the Powerball barrel.
Powerball data shows that from the main barrel, where seven winning numbers out of 35 are drawn, the most frequently drawn numbers are 17, 7, 9, 3, 11, 20 and 2.
From the separate Powerball barrel, where a single Powerball number of 20 is drawn, the most frequently drawn numbers are 2 and 4, while the least popular numbers are 12 and 14. The numbers 33, 26, 15 , 31, 29, 1 and 13 rarely make an appearance.

Odds of winning Powerball in Australia
The odds of picking the seven numbers plus the Powerball may be 134 million to 1, but that won’t stop half of Australia’s population from risking their money.
Over the last decade, Australians have pocketed $4.78 billion in Powerball division one prize money across 176 wins.
NSW and Victoria lead Queensland in premiership wins during that time frame.
But the lottery’s biggest individual winner is a South Australian man who received $150 million in May.
A Brisbane woman was the latest person to hit the lottery jackpot, pocketing a cheeky $100 million in August.
In FY24, 19 Powerball division one winning entries across Australia pocketed more than $758 million in prizes.
Of the 19 division one winners, eight landed in New South Wales, six in Victoria, three in Queensland and one each in South Australia and Western Australia.
Up to half of Australia’s adult population is competing for the $100 million Powerball jackpot
Powerball ticket cost
The cost to play Powerball is $5.40 for four entries and up to $67.40 for 50 entries.
However, Powerball prices vary depending on the type of game; For example, the minimum cost for a Powerball Hit entry is $26.95.
Ticket prices increase depending on the number of tickets a person would like to purchase.
What is a PowerHit in Powerball?
A PowerHit is a special type of entry that guarantees the all-important Powerball number.
The Powerball number is essential to win the first division.
While the PowerHit entry may look like just one line on your ticket, it actually consists of twenty entries with the same seven numbers, but each game has a different Powerball number from one to 20.
This means that if a bettor wins the division one prize, they will also win the division two prize 19 times, which will dramatically increase their winnings.
