Lauren’s co-host Jase Hawkins surprised her by calling Tahlia live.

“It actually doesn’t seem like it’s been that long since I’ve seen you, but you have a baby, you have this amazing life that feels weird not being a part of,” an emotional Lauren said.

“I’ve seen it on social media, I feel like I know, but I feel terrible for not having seen you,” he admitted.

“We had an extraordinary friendship and never fought, but life is very busy,” Lauren added.

Tahlia continued: “There is no one to blame, and there is no blame, and everything is perfect, we have come together in this moment and it is beautiful.”

Lauren then revealed her plans to travel interstate to visit Tahlia in the near future.

It comes after Lauren and her co-host Jase revealed what they really thought about leaving their old jobs and offered a heartfelt thank you to their fans.

The radio duo celebrated one year of Jase and Lauren having breakfast on the Nova network, after being dropped by KIIS FM in 2023.

‘We just want to thank everyone for listening to our show. “One year ago today we were told that no one wanted to hear us on the radio,” Lauren said on air during the broadcast Friday morning.

“We got screwed exactly a year ago,” Jase added.

The radio stars were shocked when their Melbourne breakfast show was axed last year to make way for Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s show to air in Victoria.

‘A year ago, if you could have told us that we would be here right now doing this, our little minds would have exploded. “We wouldn’t have believed it,” he added.

Kyle and Jackie O brought their radio breakfast show to Melbourne in April in a huge multi-million dollar expansion deal, which saw the axing of Jase and Lauren’s KIIS FM breakfast show.

At the time, Kyle unapologetically said he felt indifferent to the dismissal of his competitors, as it ultimately came down to who attracted the most listeners.

‘No, I don’t care. That’s why we chose Melbourne and thought: “We’ve given Jase and Lauren a good chance at KIIS FM, it can’t get above fourth place in the radio ratings so we’ll take it,” he said. news.com.au.

However, Jase and Lauren had the last laugh, with their new show on Nova 100 beating out The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Melbourne in September.

Kyle and Jackie O trailed far behind with a 6.1 per cent share, after it premiered in Melbourne on April 29, and was only the fifth most listened to breakfast show.

However, Melbourne newcomers Kyle and Jackie O still recorded a slight increase in the city’s ratings, from 5.9 to 6.1 per cent.
