Having consistently been saved from the dance by the public vote, it has now been revealed that their clever marketing campaign could be the reason.
Pete’s famous friends have rallied behind him, with the likes of Sam Thompson, Zara McDermott and Vicky Pattison urging their followers to vote for him.
A source said the sun: ‘Beyond soap stars, Strictly has never seen a campaign as effective as Pete’s.

Viewers took to X to express their irritation, with many calling for Pete Wicks to be eliminated.
They wrote: ‘How, HOW the hell did Pete escape the dance??!?!? Montelle and Jamie didn’t deserve to be there, this isn’t fair.
