Trains have resumed at one of Brisbane’s busiest train stations after a person was struck by a train on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to South Bank station in Brisbane shortly after 9am after reports someone had been hit by a train.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told NewsWire paramedics were treating a person with head injuries on Colchester Street.
The person has since been transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in life-threatening conditions.
A Queensland Rail spokesperson confirmed trains on the Cleveland line between Roma Street and Park Road had been temporarily suspended while authorities were on the scene, with delays of up to 60 minutes expected.
The train lines have since resumed and are operating normally.
