Mariah Carey has insisted she is no diva when it comes to Christmas gifts.
The self-proclaimed Queen of Christmas, 55, said she thinks she is an easy person to buy a gift for as she kicked off the festive season on BBC Radio 2 on Monday.
Calling into Zoe Ball’s Breakfast Show, Mariah explained that she doesn’t care what she gets for Christmas as long as it’s something thoughtful.
She said: ‘I think (I’m an easy person to buy into) because what really counts is the idea.
‘I mean, I know it sounds cliché, but it’s true. “If someone takes time out of their day and comes to get something for you, it’s a big deal.”
Mariah made the admission before officially starting the Christmas countdown on Radio 2 by introducing her legendary festive song, All I Want For Christmas Is You.

“I never could have known how far it would go. But it was an incredible moment, one of the best moments in the studio I’ve ever had!’
