Davina McCall has posted an emotional update after undergoing shock surgery for a brain tumor just over a week ago.
The presenter, 57, underwent the operation after revealing she had a “very rare” colloid cyst which affects only three in a million people and would need surgery.
Now, taking to Instagram on Monday, she thanked her friends and family for their support and candidly updated her fans on how she’s doing.
Speaking in the video message, he added: “Hello, I thought I’d check in and say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who messaged me or got in touch.”
‘It has meant the world. It’s been crazy and it’s really nice to be back home. I’m on the other side. My short-term memory is a little lacking, but it’s something I can work on and I’m very happy about it.
‘I’m writing down everything I do to feel safe and Michael and my mother take great care of me.

‘I would like to quickly say a big word to the stepmothers. I really can’t thank Gabby enough. She has been an incredible rock my entire life.
She continued excitedly: “I was talking to someone yesterday and I told them I had a huge dose of vitamin G. I think when something like this happens I feel very grateful.” I have always been grateful, I have been very lucky in my life.
‘But I feel incredibly grateful right now. So thank you all for everything. I’m recovering, I’m resting, I’m sleeping a lot and I feel very good. “I feel very lucky.”
In the caption, he added: ‘Hey!!! … thank you . For messages. It has meant the world. I just want to thank @mdlondon who receives the award for best boyfriend of all time. Voted by me and by everyone who knows us.
‘Also… the award for best mom of all time… goes to @gabbamccall. Thanks mom. For being the best grandmother… and mother ever.
‘I feel much better. I slept very well in my own bed. Sleeping a few times during the day keeps my brain clear…slowly, slowly…huge gratitude and love for the world, my life, and the beautiful people in it.
‘Thanks to all my friends. You are the best. Thanks to @clevelandclinic and my amazing neurosurgeon. Kevin. I love you. Thank you Sydney, Sarah and all the wonderful, beautiful souls who cared about me.

Speaking in the video message, he added: “Hi, I thought I’d check in and say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s messaged me or been in touch.”
Earlier this week, Davina’s partner Michael Douglas posted a big update, writing on his Instagram after the surgery: ‘Update folks. Thank you very much to all the supporters.
‘He’s really taken a huge leap forward in the last 24 hours. She is out of the ICU. She is “loving conscious.” Thank you xx Michael.’
The grid post then read: ‘Update: mega progress in the last 24 hours. A great relief to see some light breaking through. Thank you for all the good vibes that come from all angles. Up and up.’
Her fans were quick to comment on the post sending their love and sharing their relief that she was okay.
Over the weekend it was revealed that she was out of surgery and was “recovering in the ICU.”
Sharing another health update following her surgery, Michael said the operation was “textbook” and she was grateful for everyone’s support.
He wrote: ‘Hello everyone, Davina is out of surgery and according to the surgeon, it was textbook!
“She is currently recovering in the ICU as a precaution, as you can imagine she is completely exhausted.”
Michael added: Thank you so much for all the love from everyone here… it’s super powerful, we’re super grateful. miguel xx’
