Azimuth Airlines’ Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger plane caught fire on Sunday after landing at Antalya airport on the Mediterranean coast.
It had taken off from Sochi, Russia, and was carrying 89 passengers and six crew members, Turkey’s Transport Ministry said in a statement.
The pilot made an emergency call after the plane landed at 9:34 p.m. local time (18:34 GMT), and fire crews quickly extinguished the fire, according to the statement.

The ministry confirmed that all 95 people on board were safely evacuated.
No injuries have been reported and Suat Seyitoglu, deputy governor of Antalya, told local media according to The New York Post: “All passengers were evacuated without injuries and fortunately no one was injured.”
The Transport Ministry said efforts were underway to remove the plane from the runway.
Arrivals at the airport were temporarily suspended while departures were made from a military runway.
Azimuth Airlines said the plane had made a hard landing due to wind shear.

Türkiye’s State Meteorological Service had issued a severe weather warning for the region shortly before the incident.
Russia’s Federal Aviation Authority, Rosaviatsiya, said it was investigating the incident.
Flight tracking website FlightRadar24 said the plane was seven years old.
Russia has a shortage of aircraft due to Western sanctions imposed in connection with Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
