The Kansas City Chiefs survived a dramatic comeback from the Carolina Panthers to bounce back from last week’s loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The back-to-back Super Bowl champions led by 14 points just before halftime on Sunday before Bryce Young led the 3-8 Panthers to 18 points in the second half.
After Chuba Hubbard tied the game with a one-yard touchdown run – and two-point conversion – the Chiefs had 1:46 to win the game.
Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City down the field with a 33-yard scramble that took Travis Kelce and Co. deep into Carolina territory.
The Chiefs got to the Panthers’ 13-yard line before giving backup kicker Spencer Shrader a chance to seal the victory.
With two seconds on the clock, the 25-year-old made no mistake from 31 meters. The win means the Chiefs are now 10-1 on the season.

Andy Reid’s side saw their unbeaten run end last week when they were defeated by the Buffalo Bills.
But the Super Bowl champions bounced back to victory in Charlotte even as tempers appeared to flare between their two biggest stars.
During the game, Kelce showed clear frustration with Mahomes after a missed throw.
On a typical route – where Kelce stopped about ten yards downfield – Mahomes threw to his open tight end, but was slightly off target. The ball hit Kelce in the hands, but he couldn’t hold on to it.
As soon as the ball hit the turf, Kelce turned and looked at Mahomes in frustration.
He threw his arms out – apparently across the trajectory of the pass – and then shouted an expletive at the camera.
