The doorbell camera captured a young woman hilariously sharing the intimate details of her mother’s colonoscopy prep with her friends.
In September, Brandi Lister, 41, of Iowa, was preparing to have her first colonoscopy, a common procedure in which doctors examine the inside of the colon and rectum to look for cancer.
The night before, patients should take a laxative that will force them to “clean out their intestines,” according to the Cleveland Clinic, which usually involves many trips to the bathroom.
Brandi’s laxative had already taken effect when two of her seven-year-old daughter Emma’s friends knocked on the door and asked if they could come in to play.
But the young woman explained that her mother was ‘pooping like crazy’ and their comical interaction was caught on the doorbell camera.
‘My mom is home but she’s going to poop like crazy, okay?’ Emma was heard telling her two friends in the clip, as they both burst into laughter.
‘Stop, it’s not funny. They will have to operate on her when she finishes, it’s not funny at all,” he added.
“I can’t stop laughing,” one of the boys confessed.

—So you can’t play? Has it already started? the other asked him.
‘Can I ask. Yeah, it’s already started and oh, it’s bad,” Emma revealed.
While chatting with him Today On the show, Brandi explained that her wife, Sarah, worked nights, so she knew she would be home alone with her daughters, three-year-old Emma and Tommi, when the laxative took effect.
He said he had “prepared” Emma about what was going to happen and warned her that she “might need her help” to look after her younger sister if things got worse.
“She’s empathetic and wears her heart on her sleeve,” Brandi explained. “I had no idea she would be so sincere when the doorbell rang.”
Brandi decided to share the video on Facebook, where it quickly went viral and has since been reposted by her local media outlet.
“I had to share it with the world,” he said. “My younger self would have been embarrassed, but as soon as I became a father, nothing really embarrasses me.”
Viewers were left baffled by Emma’s honest confession and took to the comments section to share their thoughts.
