The View hosts didn’t seem happy when they had to read three legal briefs after discussing the allegations against George Santos, Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth.
Sunny Hostin read two of the notes Friday as the panel discussed former Rep. Gaetz bowing out for attorney general nomination while dealing with sexual assault claims.
“Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations and has not been charged with any crime,” Hostin said as she grimaced.
She then read another legal note about Donald Trump’s choice of Defense Secretary Hegseth, who is accused of paying a woman to silence her allegations of sexual assault.
“Another legal note,” Hostin said. “Pete Hegseth’s attorney said he paid the woman in 2023 to avert the threat of a baseless lawsuit.”
Earlier in the show, Joy Behar also read a legal brief as the panel discussed disgraced former Congressman Santo’s visit to the Hill to lobby for Gaetz.
“We need to clarify that Santos ultimately reached a plea agreement after pleading guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft,” Behar said.
Earlier this year, Santos, who parlayed lies about his life into an 11-month stint in Congress, pleaded guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in a case that led to his removal from office.

On Thursday, the panel also discussed Trump’s new AG pick, former Florida AG Pam Bondi, whom they deemed “dangerous.”
“Pam Bondi, I think she is a dangerous choice because she supported Trump’s false election claims,” Hostin said.
“She was involved in the effort to overturn the results, and so that’s now the person who’s going to be head of law enforcement.
But Ana Navarro intervened, claiming she knows Bondi and the lawyer. I’m not a chef.’
“I don’t want to ruin her reputation with MAGA people, but Pam Bondi and I hung out a lot when she was attorney general of Florida and she was coming to Miami,” Navarro said.
‘We drank a lot together. I liked her a lot. She’s not a chef. What’s a little election denial between friends if… Listen, everything in life is relative.
“There is no allegation of sexual harassment or assault against her.”
Trump moved quickly to find a new candidate for attorney general, announcing on Thursday former Florida AG Pam Bondi as his choice to lead the nation’s justice system.
Matt Gaetz withdrew his name from consideration earlier in the day when it became clear that an ongoing scandal left him without the votes to be confirmed to the Senate.

“Pam served as a prosecutor for nearly 20 years, where she took tough action against violent criminals and made the streets safe for Florida families,” Trump wrote on Truth Social when he made the announcement.
“Subsequently, as Florida’s first female attorney general, she worked to stop the deadly drug trade and reduce the tragedy of fentanyl overdose deaths that have devastated many families across our country.”
Trump has made it clear that he wants a disruptor in his role, someone who will overhaul the Justice Department and help push his agenda from day one.
