Police reportedly believe a South American criminal network is behind the recent burglaries at the mansions of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
The two NFL stars had their homes raided last month, and Kelce is believed lost $100,000 in jewelry and her first time Super Bowl t-shirt, while Mahomes lost jerseys, medals, trophies, awards and more.
The FBI has been investigating the incidents and now, according to foxPolice believe the thieves are part of a broader underworld organization.
Reports suggest Kelce and Mahomes could be just two victims in a “calculated” nationwide robbery spree, following other robberies involving athletes in Minneapolis and Milwaukee.
Earlier this month, Bucks star Bobby Portis said thieves broke in and took “most of his prized possessions” while he was on the court.
Thieves reportedly attacked Mahomes’ Belton mansion around midnight on October 6, just over a day before the Chiefs faced the Saints at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce’s $6 million property across the border in Kansas was raided shortly thereafter.
