Influencer Chelsea Parke has been criticized by online trolls who took issue with the sheer dress she chose to wear to a wedding over the weekend.

An influencer was criticized for the ‘scandalous’ dress she wore at a wedding.

Chelsea Parke, founder of Parke, a “high-end” clothing brand, was spotted wearing a sheer light brown sequin dress at a wedding over the weekend.

She posed at the event with her fiancé, who sported a classic black and white tuxedo, while Parke’s underwear was visible through the $640 Jacques Wei dress.

Online users were quick to criticize the influencer’s outfit, as one said: “It looks so out of place.”

“People have really lost the idea of what black tie is,” wrote another.

“Why is she wearing a sheer curtain over her bra and underwear?” someone asked.

“This is crazy,” said another.

Someone else wrote: ‘Sorry, that’s in SUCH bad taste…’

While some disagreed with the dress for the specific occasion, others flatly said they wouldn’t wear the dress at all.

Influencer Chelsea Parke has been criticized by online trolls who took issue with the sheer dress she chose to wear to a wedding over the weekend.

“Personally, I wouldn’t wear it anywhere,” one user admitted.

‘Or use it at all…’ wrote another.

‘Why would you wear this anywhere?’ “Horrible,” someone else said.

Another said: “It’s ugly and inappropriate like a girl is looking for a fight.”

Although many people didn’t like the dress, others told Parke how much they loved it.

‘Perfection,’ said one person, while another said: ‘So gorg!!’

“I love it,” wrote another.

Parke shared links to her outfit from that night on her Instagram Story, saying, “I’ve had my eye on this (the dress) for quite some time.”

She paired the controversial dress with $750 short black Aquazzura heels and a small $1,090 bag from Moda Operandi, called ‘The Row.’

Parke, who has a background in “traditional fashion wholesale,” was inspired to start her own clothing company because she was looking for “classic, timeless pieces” in her wardrobe. Forbes reported in October.

“My previous experience was in wholesale, but what we learned is that our customer does not need a fall/winter collection, and for that to be the only fall/winter collection,” he told the outlet.

‘They want something new once or twice a month. That said, we haven’t had a core collection yet as we’ve taken the last year to see what items will be in our core collection next year.”

From 2022 to 2023, Parke managed to go from generating $100,000 in sales to a staggering $1 million.

He said a big part of his brand’s success comes from his more than 200,000 followers on his social media platforms, while he focuses on being transparent with them.

‘I truly believe that transparency is key to building a strong brand, in any sense. “Since the beginning, I have shared my journey through the business on social media, showcasing our successes, as well as the daily challenges I face running a company and that my team faces,” he said.

“I think people feel connected not only through my personal journey but also through the collective experience of where we started and how far we’ve come: from packing orders at home to leading an entire team.”

According to the clothing brand’s website, Parke sells a variety of loungewear, as well as denim and corduroy clothing.

The brand also sells accessories, including baseball caps that cost between $40 and $185, $40 tote bags, and $150 sunglasses.
