Taylor Swift is under fire as fans speculate that NFL officials are helping the Kansas City Chiefs to a third title this season.
The defending Super Bowl champions improved to 9-0 after defeating the Denver Broncos, 16-14, on a last-second field goal block. Along with the perfect record comes a series of questionable decisions that favored the Chiefs.
Before Sunday’s game against Denver, Landon Reinhardt of KSNT Sports reported that Swift had a brief exchange with referee Sarah Thomas. Reinhardt tweeted that the judge was on a FaceTime call with her family and asked for a screenshot of her meeting with the singer.
The brief interaction got fans talking about ongoing allegations of unilateral refereeing, and Swift’s new involvement presented a new angle.
“Lol Landon doesn’t help with the head referees’ accusations,” one user wrote.

“What a surprise, this league is literally the WWE, at this point it’s clear as day,” another added.
A third chimed in and said the ref’s fondness for Swift was “Helping the Chiefs get an automatic win.”
‘That explains a lot of these calls! “He seems very impartial,” commented a fourth.
‘@NFL @Chiefs we all know games are rigged when the Chiefs play. And they sold their souls to Satan,” shouted a fifth. “But this is ridiculous.”
This wouldn’t be the only time a brief interaction between the Chiefs and officials drew attention this season.
Fans took to social media to accuse Swift of helping the Chiefs by talking to the referee.

In late September, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes raised questions when he chatted with an official in the tunnel before facing the Falcons.
The Chiefs benefited from borderline penalties in Weeks 2 and 3, initially leading NFL fans to grow tired of the supposed special treatment.
To add fuel to the fire, Mahomes was seen speaking to a referee during the NBC broadcast.
