It’s no secret that planes aren’t the cleanest ships to travel on, but one flight attendant has shared the scariest parts of planes – with some surprising spots.
Cher, a Texas-based cabin crew expert, has worked in the air for five years and recently shared the places she would consider the most disgusting.
“Some of these may be expected,” he joked in a tone tiktok video. “And some may be a surprise.”
“Number one, I have never in my career seen the window blinds removed,” he shared.
He then lamented how many people touch the curtains and commented that they “never get cleaned.”
Cher, a Texas-based cabin crew expert, has worked in the air for five years and recently shared the places she would consider the most disgusting.
“They are dirty,” he declared.
Cher then revealed another stomach-churning fact about airplane bathrooms: She revealed that people often throw up in the sink and admitted she’s seen it “numerous times.”
“If you drop something there, I’ll consider it a loss,” he advised.
“I’ve never seen them clean the toilets.”
Cher also said that sink water should be avoided and that there is a reason you are not allowed to drink from it.
“(It’s) dirty,” he said, adding that it contains “a lot” of bacteria.
“So washing your hands with it is probably not good,” he added helpfully.
The flight attendant added that it “constantly” degrades her nails and makes them brittle.
“Number one, I’ve never seen window blinds cleaned in my career,” Cher shared.
Users were shocked by how dirty the planes really are.
While in the bathroom, Cher said that “not once” in her career had she seen the toilet cleaned.
As for the carpet, Cher watched her vomit and passengers rub their bare toes on it, much to her chagrin.
Although they keep you safe, Cher warned that seat belts are one of the dirtiest parts of the seat.
“Not just the buckle part,” he shared. “I’ve seen burst diapers and vomit in them on numerous occasions.”
Overhead bins are also an area of caution, and Cher notes that people drag their luggage through the bathrooms and then place them in the bins.
“I like to use Lysol in my bag,” she shared.
Cher added that all of these reasons are why she would “never” take care of her skin on a plane and why she “wouldn’t rub her hands on these dirty surfaces and then touch her face and skin.”
Users were shocked by how dirty the planes really are.
‘For the price of a ticket the plane should be cleaned well DAILY!!’ one user was furious.
‘So what do you clean on a plane?’ another joked.
‘I always carry disinfectant wipes and clean every touch point as soon as I sit down. “I’m really surprised I don’t see more people doing the same thing,” another added.
Cher previously went viral after sharing a video revealing things she wouldn’t do as a flight attendant.
He said he would never wear shorts, use airplane toilet paper, or ring the doorbell to hand trash to a flight attendant.
