The music industry is lobbying the Chancellor to reform business rates.
While stars like Dua Lipa continue to draw big crowds, many recording studios are struggling.
The Music Producers Guild (MPG) is calling on Rachel Reeves to “fundamentally reform the commercial rates system”.
An MPG survey found that half of studios are considering closing next year.
MPG director Matt Taylor said: “Unless the Government carries out radical business rates reform, we will see more iconic recording studios close.”
One studio head said, “We’re fighting to survive.”
