Olympic breakdancer Raygun has debuted a surprising new look.
The Australian Olympian, whose real name is Rachael Gunn, became a global source of ridicule during the Paris Olympics.
Dressed in an Australian tracksuit that looked more like a cricket uniform than a breakdancing outfit, Raygun jumped like a kangaroo and slithered across the floor like a snake in a routine that didn’t impress the judges.
On Sunday, the breakdancer looked completely different on the cover of this week’s Stellar magazine and her first fashion shoot was shared on Instagram.
On the magazine cover, Raygun traded in her green and gold tracksuit and baseball cap for a figure-hugging electric blue dress with bell sleeves.
In the glamorous fashion collection, she also donned a black halterneck with a plunging V neckline, a striking cream jumpsuit and a tight little black dress.
The academic turned breakdancer looks defiant as she poses with her hands on her hips against a yellow nylon and bright blue background.
Raygun wore her hair slicked back in a long ponytail for the shoot and opted for bronzed makeup with dark red lipstick.
She finished her look with a pair of strappy black heels.

The accompanying cover line reads, “What did Raygun do next?”, along with a quote taken from the interview attached inside.
‘You didn’t knock me down. You didn’t make it. I will maintain what I did,” he says.
Raygun keeps a folder on her phone of her own memes that she says helped her stay sane over the past few months.
‘Can you believe that?’ she asked her interviewer as she showed them a selection of her favorites, including a picture of her dancing on the rear windshield of a Jeep.
‘How good is that? I’m going to buy that for my car.
“I have a digital pool room with the best.”

Raygun was completely defeated in all of her battle rounds at this year’s Paris Olympics, while her routine went viral, even being mocked by the likes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In a major twist, she returned from Paris to be named the world’s number one breakdancer despite not even coming close to winning a medal due to a quirk in the way dancers are ranked.
On her worst days, the overnight icon said she will scroll through the folder to remember that she also found joy in her experience, as well as in the torrents of public abuse.
“It’s been very difficult to process,” he said.
‘My whole world has changed. My identity has changed. My relationships have changed, for better or worse. Unfortunately, it’s times like these you find out who your real friends are.
‘And since things are still changing, it’s simply impossible to understand. It’s hard to predict what it will be like when you leave home.
“I am a confident woman who is 37 years old, without children, with a career and having fun,” Raygun said.
In her first fashion photo shoot and accompanying interview, the unlikely Australian icon said she narrowed down the reason for most of the public outrage directed at her to her age and childlessness.
“I’m a confident woman who’s 37, childless, with a career and having fun,” she told Stellar.
In another glamorous shot, Raygun posed sitting against a bright blue wall with her hands clasped behind her head and one knee resting on her chest.
She wears a bold red lip and makes direct eye contact with the camera, as if daring people to challenge her.
Since returning to Australia early last month, Raygyn said she has deliberately kept a low profile and turned down many media appearances and reality TV gigs.
“There was so much hate and emotion that I had to wait for everyone to calm down a little.”
But now she is preparing several new projects and herself to be the center of attention.
She will also be given a new honor in the front gardens of Australian homes, with handmade tributes to her routine being erected ahead of Halloween on October 31.
A Melbourne resident has immortalized her kangaroo jumping routine with a paper mache effigy complete with an Australian tracksuit and an Olympic flag.
The artist remains unknown, but a local called radio station 3AW to inform them that the “statue” had been erected in a nature strip in their suburb.
“After his big breakdancing success in Paris, Raygun is now dancing on the streets of the north,” the caller said.
The Olympic breakdancer is shaping up to be a popular choice for Halloween decorations and costumes.
Another tribute to Raygun has been shared on social media ahead of Halloween.
3AW presenter Ross Stevenson was stunned when shown a picture of the tribute.
“That’s amazing,” he said.
‘That’s amazing. Someone has put up a statue of Raygun.
—Is that in someone’s backyard or on a public road?
The caller responded, “It’s on the public road, on the nature strip.”
Stevenson said: ‘That’s extraordinary.
‘Look at the balance they’ve managed to achieve there with that statue. How do you do that?’
It’s not the only Raygun tribute recorded before Halloween.
Another house in Melbourne has used a fake skeleton, placing it in the kangaroo dancing position and dressing it in the same tracksuit.
