He plans to live fully after being diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2017 and raise awareness of the disease through his campaign work, urging people to get tested if they feel anything abnormal.
Viewers of the dating series will see Ryan meet his girlfriend this week alongside newcomer Luke, 30, Kent’s director of prison education.

After moving from Malta to the UK, Luke trained in youth rehabilitation and works in a prison, but in his spare time he has competed in bodybuilding competitions.
A TV source told MailOnline: ‘Ryan and Luke are new additions to Married At First Sight UK and are getting engaged to their girlfriends this week.
“It’s great to have new members join the experiment, and given their different stories and origins, Ryan and Luke definitely leave their mark on the series.
“They’re both looking for their soulmate and to settle down with ‘The One,’ so they’ve put their faith in relationship experts to hopefully find lasting happiness.”
Luke, who is originally from Malta, describes himself as a traditional gentleman and says he will charm his wife by making her home-cooked meals and complimenting her appearance.

He took first place in tournaments around the world after dedicating his life to the sport, which saw him transform his body.
Luke admits his previous partners would describe him as a “princess” and says his celebrity crush is A-list actress Margot Robbie.
What he dislikes most is bad table manners and hopes that being part of the dating show will teach him to be “vulnerable” in front of his wife.

Bin Man Ryan describes himself as “loving”, “polite” and “respectful”, but says his ex-girlfriends have accused him of being “stubborn”.
His celebrity crush is former Love Island star Cally Jane Beech, and he admits his “biggest problem” is someone who thinks they’re better than everyone else.
The two new boyfriends join the dating experiment this week, which has so far seen Polly marrying Adam, Kasper and Emma getting married, and same-sex couple Eve and Charlie getting engaged after meeting for the first time in the altar
Emma continues to work on her relationship with Kasper despite her husband admitting on their honeymoon that he was not attracted to her size 14 body.
Kasper has faced criticism from viewers for the way he expressed to Emma that he did not want to be intimate with her and his immediate reaction to their encounter was “not wanting to rip off her clothes.”
