A man was stabbed in the back while walking near a light rail stop in central Sydney.
Emergency services were called to Darling Road in Haymarket at around 4.20pm on Sunday after reports of an assault.
Police were told a 22-year-old man was walking near the Chinatown light rail stop in the southern part of the CBD when he was stabbed in the back.
A man allegedly fled the scene and ran toward Darling Drive.

Paramedics treated the 22-year-old at the scene and he was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man police want to speak to about the incident was captured on CCTV and is described as a man in his 40s or 50s of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance.
He is about 170cm tall, of medium build, bald, with dark hair and a trimmed beard.
At the time he was wearing a black t-shirt with the Nike badge on the back and white lettering on the front, black pants and white joggers.
