Donna Kelce, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, revealed why she thinks she’s found the perfect match in pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Talking with Page six On Monday night’s premiere of Travis’ new FX show, “Grotesquerie,” he admits that the pair’s relationship has been “pretty interesting” and also explained why they’re so good together.
“He’s a good guy. He really is. He’s good,” she told the outlet.
“He’s kind, he’s generous, and from what I understand, so is she.”
Taylor and Travis have been the center of attention in the NFL since the singer appeared at a Chiefs game against the Bears exactly one year ago.
Donna Kelce Reveals Why She Thinks Her Son Travis and Taylor Swift Are a Perfect Match
Kelce and Swift have been a public couple for a year, ever since Swift appeared at a Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs game on Sept. 24, 2023.
The ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ singer first appeared in a luxury box at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24, 2023 alongside Donna.
Since that game, he has made several appearances to watch his man, including during the Chiefs’ playoff run all the way to the Super Bowl.
She even watched Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas and was seen on the field kissing Travis after the confetti fell.
“I hope they’re having a good time,” Donna Kelce told Page Six of the relationship.
Travis has been able to leverage his fame into new opportunities, including acting, such as on FX’s 10-episode horror drama.
“It’s amazing to be able to watch your kids do what they love the most and hopefully it’s something they enjoy! I know they wanted to try (acting), so we’ll see how it goes,” Donna Kelce said.
He later added: “I can’t believe what has happened in the last few years.”
Kelce has had success off the court, but after a preseason full of hard work, that has yet to materialize into regular season results.
Travis has been able to take advantage of his growing fame to pursue new opportunities, such as acting.
In the first three games of the season, Kelce has caught just eight of his 12 targets for a total of 69 yards.
Compare the numbers from the first three games of this season to the first three games of last season: where Kelce caught 12 of 17 targets for 95 yards and two touchdowns, all despite missing the first game of the campaign due to injury.
Travis will hope to get back on track with a trip to Los Angeles to take on division rivals the Chargers.
