Ruth Langsford fans have slammed Eamonn Holmes for singing an “inappropriate” song in a charity video for dogs featuring an S-Club 7 star.
Eamonn, 64, and Ruth, also 64, separated in May, 14 years after exchanging vows at Elvetham Hall, a Grade II listed building in Hampshire.
In his latest project, Eamonn appeared in a fundraising video for canine charity The K9 Angels with S-Club star Jo O’Meara.
The advert showed Jo sharing the news of the carol fundraiser, which will be held in Chiswick on 5 December.
But halfway through the advert, Eamonn burst into a cover of ‘Blue Christmas’, prompting fans of his ex Ruth to criticise him for ‘rubbing it in her face’.

Eamonn, 64, and Ruth, also 64, separated in May, 14 years after exchanging vows at Elvetham Hall, a Grade II listed building in Hampshire.
Sharing the video on Instagram on Friday, Eamonn wrote: ‘Thursday, December 5th. Happy Christmas. Come and say Ho ho ho and sing Christmas carols in Chiswick, West London.
‘To purchase tickets for this fabulous fundraiser, simply follow @thek9angels where you will find the link to buy tickets on their Linktree. Make a Christmas wish come true for these dogs. Thank you.
Jo encouraged Eamonn to sing in the advert and give a preview of what fans could expect at the carol fundraiser.
“It’s gonna be a very, very sad Christmas without you,” Eamonn sang.
Outraged Ruth fans commented on the post saying: ‘Iinappropriate song very hurtful has some nature and respect,’;
‘Poor Ruth, stop rubbing it in her face, it’s your fault!’; ‘Team Ruth,’;
“Maybe she’s trying to say something. Without Ruth, it will be a very sad Christmas.”
“Making something public a few months after being with someone all those years is pretty disrespectful”;

But halfway through the advert, Eamonn burst into a cover of ‘Blue Christmas’, prompting fans of his ex Ruth to criticise him for ‘rubbing it in her face’.
‘Eamon is bored… so fake! Literally cringeworthy!! Publicity stunt’; ‘I love animals but I don’t support anything he’s involved in… I’ll be making a direct donation’;
“I’m sorry, but after seeing things in the papers it’s a bit embarrassing, but there are two sides to a story.”
This comes after Eamonn hit back at critics after suffering backlash for treating his new girlfriend to a luxury holiday abroad just months after ending his marriage to presenter Ruth.
Eamonn has since embarked on a new romance with much younger 42-year-old relationship counsellor Katie Alexander.
Despite their generational differences, the 22-year age gap didn’t seem to be an issue during a recent European cruise, where the wheelchair-bound Holmes and his attractive girlfriend enjoyed stops at a variety of picturesque locations, including Barcelona and Ibiza.
Since returning to the UK, the Irish presenter has rubbed shoulders with actress Kate Beckinsale, daughter of the late Porridge and Rising Damp star Richard Beckinsale, after meeting her for the first time at an event in London on Monday night.
But Kate’s decision to strike a series of suggestive poses while having her photo taken alongside a receptive Holmes opened the floodgates on social media, with fans divided over her post-split antics.
On Tuesday, Eamonn, who was clearly not happy with the online reaction, returned to Instagram and liked several messages of support, including one that read: “So many nasty comments! If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all…”
Outraged Ruth fans commented on the post saying: ‘I find this a very hurtful song that has some nature and respect in it.’
Eamonn and Ruth confirmed their marriage was over in May, 14 years after exchanging vows at Elvetham Hall, a Grade II listed building in Hampshire.
Social media followers flooded his Instagram platform with comments after he posed for a handful of photos with actress Kate Beckinsale on Monday night.
Another message the presenter favourited read: “Everyone please learn to be kind to the comments that appear here. Leave him alone.”
“I’m not interested in stupid comments, let’s remember the amazing Richard Beckinsale,” wrote a third supporter.
As exclusively revealed by the Daily Mail, Eamonn’s recent cruise with Katie was in fact a “gift” given to him after signing a lucrative deal to be an ambassador for travel giant Not Just Travel.
In exchange for the perk, the TV presenter was forced to film content for the company’s social media platforms while enjoying a break courtesy of its cruise division, Virgin Voyages, on a ship called The Scarlet Lady.
“Although it looked like Eamonn had taken Katie on a no-expenses-spared trip, in reality it didn’t cost him a penny,” a travel source explains.
‘It was part of his deal with Not Just Travel, so if anything he got paid to go, which was really lucky, especially since he could bring a companion with him.
“There was a work element,” the source adds. “Eamonn had to film some segments to promote the company. But the fact that he didn’t pay certainly undermines the idea that it was a romantic trip.”
‘But Katie didn’t seem to mind, it was a lovely, sunny break for her as they enjoyed their first moments of love.’
