One person has been injured after a small plane crashed outside a rural town in Queensland.

The plane is understood to have crashed on Degen Road, south of Boonah in Queensland’s Scenic Rim, at around 10.52am on Tuesday.

Paramedics are assessing a person for injuries.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Queensland Police and Queensland Ambulance Service in relation to the incident.

In January, two men travelling in a light aircraft were killed after the pilot attempted to land at Boonah airfield in Dugandan.

Golfers at nearby Boonah Golf Club called emergency services.

The rural town of Dugandan had a population of just over 600 people in 2021.
