Leeds United fans couldn’t contain their excitement last night as Dan James scored from a lovely pass from Mateo Joseph to secure their first three points of the season at the third opportunity.
Fans jumped in ecstasy as a sea of yellow players surrounded them to celebrate James’ goal.
But one man who got caught up in the mosh pit during the celebrations caught everyone’s attention… for a rather peculiar reason.
During the celebrations, a bald man appears at the front of the crowd, eager to share the moment with the players, but you can’t help but notice the cake he’s holding to try and stay out of the madness, only to fail miserably at it.
As he celebrates alongside the other group of fans, the cake tragically begins to crumble and disintegrate from his grasp as he simultaneously loses his own composure and falls onto the billboard.
A Leeds fan has gone viral on social media after celebrating Leeds’ second goal scored by Dan James while holding a cake in his hand.
The jubilant Leeds supporter made his way to the front of the crowd to celebrate with James and co, but he wasn’t about to give up his cake.
Despite falling through the advertising board, he managed to keep some of the cake safe, even taking a bite once all the celebrations were over.
His quick thinking may have saved the day though, as as the devoted Leeds fan crashes into the advertising board, he manages to get one last bite of his cake, so it’s not a total loss.
His impressive ability to hold the cake instantly made him a fan favourite on social media platform ‘X’, with one follower writing: ‘Shout out to the lad with the cake’ followed by two laughing emojis.
Another social media user wrote: “That second Leeds goal was a true cinematic marvel. Bald guy with a cake, he goes to celebrate, falls over the advertising board and takes a big bite out of the cake while lying flat. The Championship is the best league in the world.”
With a third adding: ‘This Leeds fan tries to save his pie and loses the filling anyway and still takes a bite’ followed by four laughing emojis.

The celebrations, though unbridled, are more than justified.
The Whites secured their first Championship win of the season on Friday night after failing in their first two attempts.
Daniel Farke’s side, who at one point last season looked destined for a return to English football’s top flight, drew 3-3 with newly promoted Portsmouth on Matchday 1.
Before they drew their second league game against West Brom.
However, this week Farke’s side were back to their old selves despite losing several of last season’s stars during this transfer window.
Archie Gray, Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville have all left the club to join the Premier League, but Leeds produced a much-improved performance on Friday night to indicate they could challenge for promotion once again this season.
