The Strictly investigation into Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice will announce its findings within DAYS after police spent weeks analysing evidence

A verdict in the Amanda Abbington-Giovanni Pernice feud is expected before the end of next week, Mail Online can reveal.

Sherlock actress Amanda, 50, has made a series of accusations and an official complaint about her pro Giovanni Pernice’s teaching methods and has She described his behaviour as “unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean-spirited.” She strongly denies all the accusations.

Police investigators have brought in former Met police officers to oversee an investigation.

Now, a source close to the investigation has said a decision is likely to be announced within a few days.

The source said: ‘Investigators have spent the past few weeks analysing evidence, including text messages and messages shared on WhatsApp.

‘They have spoken to witnesses and re-interviewed people who have given testimony as part of the investigation.

‘Investigators believe they have seen and reviewed everything they need to and are in a position to make a final decision on what happened.

‘All the allegations have already been presented to Giovanni and his legal team and Amanda has had the opportunity to share all the evidence she needs.

‘Now they both just want to hear what the BBC has decided.

The source added that the BBC is unlikely to share a full account of what they have discovered and that their final statement could end up being quite brief.

The source added: ‘The investigation has taken a long time. It has been many months of work because there has been a lot of information to analyse.

“But the final statement that is published is likely to be quite brief. Many details and information may remain private, particularly as there is a possibility of further legal action in the future which the BBC may need to be prepared for.”

This comes following reports that Amanda found BBC bosses’ line of questioning “highly offensive” amid the investigation.

The actress recently said she was questioned for a second time about an illicit video the dancer shared with her, as well as a “lewd comment” he made about another famous contestant when the video was sent.

Giovanni was also reported to have made a rude comment about a member of Amanda’s own family, only for BBC bosses to “effectively ask” him if the dancer had said it as a light-hearted joke.

Amanda is said to have recently handed over more texts containing new revelations about Giovanni’s behaviour on Strictly.
