Rachael Gunn has criticised the decision to remove breakdancing from the Olympics.
Gunn, whose stage name is Raygun, went viral following her performance at the inaugural women’s event in Paris over the weekend, where she earned three consecutive zeros from the judges.
The university professor was He was mercilessly mocked for his “embarrassing” performance in the sport’s Olympic debut, with her mental health being monitored amid the online attack.
Raygun has also received public support for her performance – in which she hopped around like a kangaroo and silenced her rivals – and was credited by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for giving her best at the event.
But sports fans won’t be seeing Raygun again at the Olympics, as breaking has been scrapped from the schedule for the bonanza in Los Angeles in 2028.
The decision was made before the Paris Games, and Gunn was one of many who criticised the move.
“It was disappointing that it was decided not to be shown in Los Angeles, especially before we had a chance to show it,” he said earlier this month.
“Maybe it was a little premature. I wonder if they’re regretting it now.”

The 36-year-old Australian made headlines around the world after her bizarre routine in Paris.
Gunn also pointed to more established Olympic sports while defending breaking.
He added: “What is an Olympic sport? What similarities are there between dressage and artistic swimming and between the 100-metre dash and the pentathlon?”
“Breaking is clearly an athletic activity, which clearly requires a level of total dedication in several different aspects. It’s really bringing a new level of excitement.”
Raygun has dominated the conversation since her infamous performances in Paris, with music superstar Adele stopping her concert in Munich to discuss the Australian’s routine.
“I’m not saying anything, but I think it’s the best thing that’s ever happened at the Olympics,” Adele told her fans.
‘Did anyone see the lady breakdancing?’
‘Now I didn’t even know breakdancing was an Olympic sport these days. It’s fucking fantastic. I really believe it.

“Aaron, my percussionist, is pissing himself laughing just thinking about it.”
Adele went on to reveal that she’s not sure if Raygun was a serious contestant in the competition, with many fans comparing his moves to Mr Gee from Australian comedy Summer Heights High.
‘I can’t understand if it was a joke, but either way it made me very, very happy and my friends and I were dying of laughter for almost 24 hours.
‘I just wanted to know if you’ve seen it. If you haven’t seen it, leave the show and Google it because it’s crazy.
“It’s so fucking fun and it’s my favorite thing about what’s happened at the Olympics over the whole time.”
