Disney has a lot in store after a big first day at D23 Expo 2024.
On Friday, the studio kicked off its annual fan convention with updates on Avatar 3, Moana 2, and the long-awaited Incredibles 3, which has now been officially confirmed.
Avatar: Fire and Ash was revealed as the title of the third installment when director James Cameron took the stage with stars Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington.
“New cultures and environments… they’ll see more of the planet Pandora than they’ve ever seen before,” Cameron said, according to Deadline.
“The new movie is not what you expect, but it’s definitely what you want,” he added of the film, which is set for release on December 19, 2025.

The trailer reveals Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda as the voice of Moana’s beloved little sister, Simea.
OG stars Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho also made an appearance, with the latter premiering the song ‘We’re Back’ from the upcoming sequel. Just Jared reported.
The first Moana was released in 2016 and grossed over $643 billion worldwide.
Pixar’s chief commercial officer Pete Docter announced that The Incredibles 3 will go ahead with the return of director Brad Bird, according to Deadline.
The announcement comes after the release of The Incredibles 2 in 2018, 14 years after the original.
Also, Rachel Zegler was revealed as the most beautiful of all in the first trailer for the live action version of Snow White.
The teaser also features a first look at Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen ahead of the March 21, 2025 release.

Disney+ and Lucasfilm have released the first trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series, which is set to premiere on the streaming service on December 3.
Jude Law appeared on stage, introducing his Jedi character in the teaser.
“I fell in love with Star Wars when I was a 10-year-old kid. (This) series is told from the kids’ perspective,” he joked, according to Deadline.
Docter also announced that a spin-off of the Inside Out series titled Dream Productions will premiere later this year on Disney+.
Set between the first Inside Out (2015) and the recent sequel, the series “takes place at the studio where Riley’s dreams come true every night on time and on budget.” Deadline reported.

Inside Out 2 opened in June and grossed $1.56 billion, nearly a decade after the original film’s release in 2015.
Pixar also teased that Toy Story 5 will arrive in 2026, reuniting Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie amid a new era for children’s entertainment.
“This time, it’s a toy meets technology,” director Andrew Stanton said, according to People“It’s going to be fun and we can’t wait for you all to see it in the summer of 2026.”
The first Toy Story premiered in 1995, followed by sequels in 1999, 2010 and 2019.
In 2022, Buzz got his own spin-off on Lightyear, voiced by Chris Evans as the titular astronaut.
