Former Home and Away star Bec Hewitt is rumoured to be considering

Tennis WAG Bec Hewitt could be planning a return in front of the cameras.

The former Home and Away star, 41, is rumoured to be considering “one last big push” to make it in Hollywood, according to Women’s Day.

Bec was reportedly inspired to return to acting after attending the Wimbledon championships, where she and husband Lleyton, 43, sat in the royal box surrounded by the likes of Kate Middleton, Tom Cruise, Benedict Cumberbatch and Julia Roberts.

“It was the biggest sign that she dreams of returning to her career after years of being a supporting character behind her husband,” a source told the publication.

The source said Bec has more free time now that her children Mia, 18, Cruz, 15, and Ava, 13, are older, and another stab at acting would be the perfect time for her.

They also claimed that making it in Hollywood was Bec’s “holy grail.”

She first rose to national fame in 1998 when she landed the role of Hayley Smith in the long-running soap opera Home and Away.

Bec quickly became a fan favourite, picking up the Most Popular Actress award in 2005, but coincidentally she became pregnant just a few months into playing her character on the soap and left the series to become a full-time mother.

Aside from a stint on Dancing With The Stars and hosting Channel Nine’s travel show Helloworld in 2018, Bec has largely stayed away from the camera.

More recently, however, she dipped her toe back into the acting waters in the upcoming Australian thriller 13th Summer, alongside Georgie Parker and Nathan Phillips.

The source claimed that while she loves acting in her home country, limited opportunities in Australia mean she is eager to make her mark in Tinseltown.

“She realized she still has a lot of gas left in the tank as an actress,” they added.

It was also claimed that Bec is keen to land a role on a popular American soap opera, using it as “security” while she explores bigger acting opportunities in America.

“She might even be able to convince some of the longer-running shows, like Days of Our Lives, to include a new Australian character in their storyline, which would give her some security while she explores the American market,” the source added.

This comes after reports suggested late last year that Lleyton and Bec are planning to turn their tabloid fame into TV gold.

The glamorous couple were reportedly inspired by David and Victoria Beckham’s Netflix documentary series, and are hoping to replicate its success with their own tell-all TV show.

“Bec is very organised and has amazing home videos, and I know they’ve thought about doing something like this in the past,” a friend of the couple told New Idea.

‘They watched the David Beckham Netflix series and loved it, and I’m sure it got them thinking.’
