Simone Biles insists “everything is fine” with her injured calf, despite the gymnastics legend wearing a protective boot following the end of her Olympic campaign.
The 27-year-old American was only able to secure a silver medal on floor on Monday after injuring her leg during warm-up.
Biles slipped after landing and appeared to aggravate a calf injury that has plagued her throughout the Olympics.
She later finished fifth on the balance beam, falling off the apparatus in front of a shocked crowd that included NFL legend Tom Brady.
It was a painful end to a golden Games for Biles, who had already secured top spots in the team all-around, individual all-around and vault competitions.

She appeared on NBC on Monday night wearing a protective boot, but the gymnast allayed fears about the injury.
“The calf is fine, it’s just a precautionary measure, to be on the safe side,” he said of the boot. “It just hurts a little bit.”
Biles had been battling a calf problem since qualifying for the women’s team final last week.
However, this did not appear to have affected her in competition until Monday, when the American was left grimacing in pain and requiring treatment from Team USA’s medical staff.
Asked if the injury affected her on-court routine, Biles added: “I feel like elite athletes are pretty tough, so through pain or pleasure, we’re ready for whatever… but it’s all good.”
