A man was dragged underwater by a crocodile after he slipped off a river bank while fishing; the attack took place in front of his family.
The man, in his 40s, was fishing at Crocodile Bend near Cooktown when he slipped and was caught by the crocodile at around 2pm, it was reported. The courier mail.
Queensland Police are currently conducting a search operation near the Annan River Bridge.
The place is a popular fishing spot, but is also known as a crocodile habitat.
A 5-metre crocodile is still known to be seen at the site as police and local rangers continue to search for the man.
