A doctor accused of sexually assaulting two women has been charged with raping a third patient.

Ahmed Al-Sudani, 45, was arrested on Friday at a medical centre in Arncliffe, south of Sydney, after police received reports of sexual assaults involving two patients.

Police said Wednesday that further investigation revealed he allegedly raped another patient in June.

The 45-year-old doctor has been charged with two further offences of sexual intercourse without consent and sexual contact without consent.

He was already facing charges of sexually touching a 28-year-old woman during a consultation on June 4 and raping a 19-year-old woman during a consultation on June 26.

Two provisional arrest warrants for violence have been issued on behalf of the complainants.

Al-Sudani was granted bail at Sutherland Local Court last Friday after promising to pay $1 million if he breached any conditions.

He paid a $200,000 deposit to the court to complete the total.

The 45-year-old man was banned from practising as a doctor and handed his passport over to the police.

However, his release from Sydney’s Silverwater jail was put on hold until later on Wednesday while prosecutors decided whether to appeal the magistrate’s bail decision.
