A grandfather-to-be has died after being involved in an altercation that turned physical with his neighbors in a rural area of Maryland in June.
According to Montgomery County Police, Marvin Guevara Guevara, 40, got into an argument with a neighbor over the victim’s dogs running loose on her property. The argument escalated when the woman struck Guevara Guevara in the head.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries on June 30. The incident occurred in Germantown, about 50 miles west of Baltimore.
The dogs are believed to have escaped through a hole in a fence and onto a neighbour’s land.
Flor Flores, Guevara Guevara’s daughter-in-law, who witnessed the fatal incident, told the station that she saw the victim being attacked from behind.
Flowers said NBC Washington who were going to the neighbor’s land to ask for forgiveness with Guevara Guevara’s 10-year-old daughter.
Marvin Guevara Guevara, 40, was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first grandchild in August.

The victim’s family said she went to her neighbor’s house to apologize for the dogs constantly entering her property.
“(The neighbor) went and slapped him in the face and wanted to hit him again. But that’s when I grabbed my phone and recorded it. He didn’t deserve that,” she said.
Footage has been released of what happened after Guevara Guevara was beaten, showing a group of adults arguing. That video was recorded by Flores. The clip begins after the fists started flying.
The husband of the woman involved in the fight told a FoxDC reporter that the victim had been trespassing on his property for more than a year.
Guevara Guevara’s wife, Sandra Beltran, said DC News Now that her husband did not raise his arms towards the victim and that he used them to cover his head.
Beltrán accused the neighbors of insulting Guevara Guevara when he came to apologize for the dogs. “He’s not here anymore,” he told the channel through tears.
He said the incident began when his daughter-in-law frantically called Guevara Guevara to come home on the day of the disaster because her neighbors had come to their house complaining about the dogs.
On June 25, Guevara emerged from his coma and was discharged from the hospital, where he was sent home to continue his recovery. A day later, he became seriously ill again and was taken back to the hospital, where he later died.
“I really thought my dad was going to make it. He’s a very strong man. He was a very strong man. My dad was hurt very badly,” said Guevara Guevara’s son, Marvin Junior. Fox DC.
Marvin said he rushed back home when he heard his father was involved in a fight. He said Guevara Guevara was “dizzy and struggling” after being hit multiple times.
“He was a wonderful person, always smiling. He was always there for others, he always had a good heart,” said Marvin Guevara Jr.
“This is something that didn’t have to happen because of some dogs. We just want peace of mind in everything. We just want things to be done right,” Flores added in statements to the NBC affiliate.
A GoFundMe page A page has been launched to help Guevara Guevara’s family. On that page, he is described as an avid churchgoer and native of El Salvador.
The birth of their first grandchild was due in August.
“I said, ‘You’re going to teach her how to walk,'” Flores said. “And he said, ‘I’m going to teach her how to ride a horse,'” she added.
“My daughter would draw pictures of my husband and tell him, ‘Dad, I’ll always love you.’ Our children were everything to him,” Beltran said.
At the time of writing, no charges have been filed in connection with the death. On July 2, local police announced that an investigation had been launched.
The cause of Guevara Guevara’s death has not been made public.
