Prince William “had a nightmare walking into Taylor Swift’s Wembley show” and was “arriving late with Prince George and Princess Charlotte” for a meeting with the star, a source claimed.
The Prince of Wales, 42, took his two eldest children to the first of Taylor’s three sold-out shows in London on Friday.
The royal family was photographed enjoying the three-hour concert from a box in the 90,000-capacity stadium.
However, a source claimed the royals’ trip to Wembley was not easy and there was “panic” over their schedules.
They said HELLO!: ‘They had a nightmare coming in, they were arriving very late but they had planned to arrive earlier so they could meet and greet Taylor beforehand because they knew they wanted to leave early.

“They only had 25 minutes to spare, so they did a quick meet and greet and then went up to their box before the show, and there was a bit of stress and panic about that because it was taking too long.”
The source also claims that Prince William and his children tried to stay at the back of the box so as not to attract too much attention during the performance.
However, the Prince of Wales made an exception for Taylor’s 2014 hit, Shake It Off.
The royal was seen in front of the center of the box as he did his famous ‘dad dance’ for the performance.
During the pre-show meet and greet, Taylor posed for a selfie with the royal and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who appeared on stage with the star last night.
The Prince and Princess of Wales posted the touching image on their Instagram the following morning with the caption: “Thank you Taylor Swift for a great evening!”
Prince William and Taylor Swift are believed to have met in 2013 when they performed Livin’ On A Prayer with Jon Bon Jovi at a charity event at Kensington Palace.
According to event organizers, the performance, on the night of the Winter Whites Gala at Kensington Palace, was completely improvised.

Describing the impromptu party during an interview with The Mail on Sunday shortly after the event, Taylor said: “I could hear his voice and it’s pretty good. A good tone. I would definitely say he has star quality and if he ever wants me to sing with him again, I will be there.”
Speaking about the 2021 event, the Prince said he obeyed “like a puppy” when the glamorous pop star ordered him on stage for the impromptu performance with Jon Bon Jovi.
Earlier in the day, the military band at Buckingham Palace played a rendition of Shake It Off to mark the arrival of the Eras tour in London.
After pictures of William’s exuberant dance emerged, royal fans claimed the selfies with Taylor were “throwing shade” at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan had reportedly attended a Taylor Swift concert at the same Los Angeles stadium the previous month, although no selfie with Swift has emerged.
Footage of William dancing seemed very different to Harry’s behavior when he and his wife Meghan Markle attended Beyoncé’s performance at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles last September.
While the Duchess of Sussex seemed to enjoy the show, Harry appeared dejected and often looked at his phone instead of the stage.
