Experts at credit rating firm Experian predict an increase in spending among fans going out to pubs and among those stocking up on drinks and food for gatherings at home.
Some are also expected to buy new televisions to keep up with the action.

The analysis assessed the impact of Euro 2024 and the Olympic Games on Britain’s retail and food and drink sectors over the next three months.
Experian’s Mohammed Chaudhri said: “We are a sports-obsessed nation and our data analysis shows fans are more than happy to spend.”
Experian used data from the Office for National Statistics on previous tournaments and games.
