Sterling was closest to the locker room door, which may explain why they spoke to him first, but it could also have been interpreted as an important statement from Boehly, as the England winger was his first major signing after purchasing the club.

Sterling is understood to have taken the criticism well, and Boehly then turned his attention to the rest of the group.
