A stylish Park Lane pop-up is selling hot dogs for a whopping £48.
While the popular street food usually costs less than £2 and is topped with mustard or ketchup, Bubbledogs serves its offering with very extravagant toppings, including lobster and Beluga caviar.
The restaurant suggests pairing the street meat with champagne, which they sell for £22 a glass.
The pop-up is currently located at 45 Park Lane, part of the Dorchester Group, and is a collaboration between the hotel’s Elliot Grover, who cooked at this year’s Oscars, and is working with Sandia Chang and James Knappett, who founded the restaurant.
While the restaurant has mostly favorable reviews, praising the service and fast-food taste, some diners have complained about the price, especially since the dish comes without fries.

The restaurant closed in its previous incarnation within the Michelin-starred Kitchen Table in 2020. It will return to the Dorchester Collection’s 45 Park Lane with a special menu until the end of September.
The food is a mix of American and British traditions, with ingredients from The Franconian Sausage Company, served on freshly baked rolls from CUT Pastry Kitchen.
The menu also includes fun snacks including; Classic American tater tots seasoned with Japanese togarashi, Buffalo chicken wings exclusive to CUT’s Mac & Cheese and Bubbledogs.
Elsewhere, there’s an exceptionally delicious chocolate hot dog made with Jivara chocolate ganache served on a cinnamon brioche with cherry and passion fruit sauce.

It comes after another west London restaurant came under fire for its high prices.
Tom Kerridge had irritated customers by increasing the price of his Harrods fish finger sandwich from £18 to £27.
The Michelin-starred chef priced his fish finger sandwich at £18 at the Knightsbridge department store’s Kerridge’s Fish and Chips restaurant in September last year.
The TV chef’s signature sandwich is now sold with a side such as chips, cole slaw, chopped peas or broccoli for £27 and is no longer advertised only on the menu.
The addition of a side softens the impact of the expensive new price, because they usually cost £8.50 or £9.50 separately, so diners can save 50p depending on which one they choose.
But some customers may not be happy because they can no longer buy the sandwich alone for £18.
