Kansas City Chiefs players were able to walk away from the scene of a mass shooting after their Super Bowl victory parade, and some in particular were a calming presence amid the tragedy.

According to NFL insider Albert Breer, offensive linemen Trey Smith and Austin Reiter and backup quarterbacks Blaine Gabbert and Chris Oladukun helped try to calm the panicking children.

In particular, Smith “went to an upset kid, gave him the WWE title, and sat with him until he calmed down.”

The mayor of Kansas City confirmed that all the team’s players were accounted for and safe.

That includes head coach Andy Reid, who was seen hugging a concerned high school student amid the chaos.
