Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett doubled down on right-wing firebrand Marjorie Taylor Green as “racist” and warned the Georgia congresswoman “don’t come after me” after Greene attacked Crockett’s appearance at a late-night hearing.

Crockett, who is Black, appeared on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, where she was asked if Greene ridiculed her “false eyelashes” at a hearing to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress on Thursday.

“I think she did it specifically to me, yes, that was the intention,” Crockett responded to a question from moderator Jake Tapper about whether the attack was racist.

“(Women) use all kinds of things to beautify ourselves, but MAGA has historically been on social media doing things where they’re like ‘oh, she’s black with eyelashes and nails and hair, so she’s ghetto,'” she said. Crockett.

“To me, she was the one who accepted that rhetoric and tried to amplify it for the MAGA crowd, so yes, I absolutely believe she just did it to be racist to me,” Crockett added.

“It’s accepting a racist trope, but the reality is that women of all colors wear eyelashes,” Crockett said.

Crockett said Greene did not face any punishment for his attack during the hearing, so he does not anticipate there will be consequences.

“I think the spokesperson should try to control her after trying to kick him out of his position, but they just let Marjorie do whatever she wanted, and I think this was the first time someone actually said ‘no’, you won’t treat me however you want and you You’ll get your way.”

Greene criticized Crockett’s appearance during a hearing Thursday night.

“I don’t think you know what we’re here for,” Greene told the hearing before turning her attention to Crocketts’ appearance. “I think your false eyelashes are ruining what you’re reading.”

Republicans refused to remove Greene’s comment from the record.

At that same hearing, Crockett responded by asking Committee Chairman James Comer on personal attacks “if anyone on this committee starts talking about someone’s poorly built, blonde, male body” if that would be against the rules.

He did not mention Greene by name, but the comment was clearly directed at her.

Crockett said Sunday that he does not regret his response. He said he signed up to be a member of Congress but not to be disrespected. He stated that MAGA does not respect the rules or the law.

On Friday, Crockett responded that Greene is “racist.”

“It’s them attacking me, actually as a black woman and all they’re trying to do is be racist. That’s all. That’s it, it’s racism,” she said.

Crockett also suggested that Greene would likely raise money from the attack.because the racists will be happy to give it to them’ and noted that Greene has never criticized the appearance of any of her other colleagues.

Asked Friday if personal attacks are fair game after the Georgia Republican ridiculed his appearance, Crockett said, “I don’t think they were ever on the table.”

“I think we have someone who is unfit for Congress who is currently in office who is not playing by the rules,” the Democrat said of Greene.

One Saturday he warned Greene in an MSNBC interview: “Don’t come after me.” That’s all I need to tell you. Don’t come looking for me with that.
