- An Austrian court ruled this week that Fritzl could be transferred to a regular prison.
- He is currently being held in a high-security prison for the criminally insane.
Deluded incest monster Josef Fritzl is looking for a new house in the countryside and is “toying” with the idea of writing a memoir in the belief he will be freed, his lawyer has revealed.
Evil Fritzl, 89, has already instructed his lawyer Astrid Wagner to start looking for a suitable property, as he still dreams of a free life in the Austrian countryside, he told local media.
Wagner also revealed that the monster Fritzl is “toying with the idea” of writing a sick memoir of his disgusting crimes and how the “elegant” Fritzl stays in shape and grows vegetables in his prison cell.
The revelations come just days after Austrian judges ruled that Fritzl could be moved from a maximum-security hospital wing for the criminally insane to a regular prison.
But he has been denied hope of early release because of what judges called his “unprecedented criminal energy.”

Lawyer Astrid Wagner (pictured) also revealed that monster Fritzl is “toying with the idea” of writing a sick memoir about his disgusting crimes and how “stylish” Fritzl keeps fit and grows vegetables in his prison cell .
The depraved rapist can be sent to a normal prison, the Krems Regional Court announced this week, stating that he no longer needs to be held in a high-security facility for the mentally ill.
Despite the crushing verdict, Fritzl, who kept his daughter Elisabeth as a sex slave for 24 years and fathered seven children, plans to launch a new appeal for freedom next year.
Wagner told local media about a post-hearing meeting with his twisted client at Stein Prison, where he awaits transfer.
Wagner said: “As always, he was very elegant and arrived with a ‘casual look.’
Interestingly, she explained that “I had bothered him during his nap, but he wasn’t mad at me.”
Wagner added that even after learning of the court’s verdict, Fritzl, confused, asked him: “Can I finally come home?”
She said: ‘It won’t be easy. Of course, it needs care.
But he already asked me for a real estate agent. That is precisely what distances it a little from reality.’
According to local media, Fritzl could soon be transferred to Suben prison or Tullnerbach.
And because he has served more than 15 years behind bars, a conditional release from custody could be possible in the future.
Wagner is expected to begin preparing a case next year and is not expected to oppose the request.
Fritzl, who changed his name to Mayrhoff in an alleged attempt to evade physical attacks from other inmates, was locked up in 2009 after admitting to raping his daughter Elisabeth (pictured) and fathering seven children with her.
Josef Fritzl during the fourth day of his trial at the St. Poelten rural court in 2009.
Elisabeth and her children lived in the basement of the family home in Amstetten, while Fritzl and his wife Rosemarie lived upstairs.
Elisabeth lived in this narrow, dingy basement for 24 years with her children.
The lawyer said: “He is very sorry for what happened and wants to drive a little and be home.” He believes that he will be free.
‘And given his old age, it’s really realistic that he could spend his final years in freedom.
‘Fritzl seems to be in shape. The development of dementia is not unusual at this age. He does gymnastics in the morning.
‘He buys fruit at the prison store, he especially likes grapes. He also grows vegetables in his cell.’
The lawyer stated that Fritzl also wants to write a new book and “is toying with the idea of publishing his memoirs.”
