The FAA today announced a new safety investigation into embattled plane maker Boeing.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the focus of the investigation is whether Boeing met safety inspection requirements on all of its troubled 787 Max planes.
The FAA is also investigating whether employees falsified records in their reports of those inspections.
The new investigation sent shares of the plane maker into free fall on Monday.
The company is already dealing with the second death of a whistleblower who raised the alarm about its security practices.
