A woman who lost 5 stone (and went from a size 32 to a size 14) has revealed how differently she is treated now that she has a smaller physique.

But when she changed her diet and considered weight-loss surgery, she had a gastric sleeve done in September 2022, on the NHS.
She dropped to #15 and then underwent a revised bypass in March 2024. Now, Issy has lost #11, 10 pounds.
She currently weighs 13 pounds and was “quite surprised that people showed up who wouldn’t have entertained her before.”
“It’s basic things: someone holding the door open,” the young woman explained. ‘People smile at you.

Issy says she is “exactly the same person” now and “still treats people the same.”
“I want someone to like me for me, not for what I look like,” she continued. “People say you’re thinner now and you should get more attention.”
“It’s a bit sad,” Issy continued, wondering why her older figure wasn’t “worthy of the same.”

He added that while everyone is entitled to a preference, it’s “crazy how different people treat you when you’re smaller.”
Issy also spoke about feeling like she’s been “given a second chance at life” after losing weight.
He realized he needed to do something for his health when he couldn’t walk up the stairs without getting out of breath.
“It was embarrassing to be so young and not in shape,” he revealed. “It was very overwhelming to lose so much weight.”
He had previously tried several different diets but never found anything that worked.
Issy underwent a clinical trial for the Saxenda weight loss vaccine in late 2021 and lost two kilos, bringing her to 18 pounds and 11 pounds for her surgery. She underwent gastric sleeve surgery in September 2022 and said her “life changed” after the procedure.
He had “taken his life back,” followed a healthy diet of home-cooked meals and started going to the gym.
But after reaching 15th place, he found he was struggling to lose more weight, which was “really frustrating.”
“They told me they needed to operate again,” he explained.

And in March, Issy had a sleeve bypass, meaning she can’t absorb as many calories.
“I lost 8 pounds in the first week,” he recalled.
Issy is now on track to reach her 10th goal of 7lbs and is also hoping to go to Turkey for skin removal surgery.
She admitted that strangers have criticized her for taking the “easy way out” by undergoing weight-loss surgery, but says she faces her own “different set of difficulties” after the procedures.

“This is the easiest way I’ve been able to lose weight, but it’s not the easiest way to do it,” he added.
“If I take one more bite, it’s physically painful.”
