Sharon Stone is being sued by a woman for thousands of dollars over an alleged car accident she caused in Los Angeles last year.

The actress, best known for her role as Catherine Tramell in the 1992 film Basic Instincts, has been accused of causing a car accident in which Amanda Godepski was injured.

Godepski filed a motor vehicle complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, April 24, according to documents obtained by People Magazine.

He accused Stone of speeding and making “unsafe” maneuvers that led to his accident.

The woman claimed she suffered property damage and personal injuries, and that the damages exceeded $35,000.

The incident allegedly occurred on June 30, 2023 in Los Angeles, near the US Route 101 freeway off-ramp at Coldwater Canyon Avenue, according to court documents.

According to Gosepksi, Stone “negligently owned, operated, drove, managed and maintained a vehicle.”

The filing further states: “Defendant Sharon Vonne Stone caused the collision by driving too fast for traffic conditions and making an unsafe turn into plaintiff’s travel lane and striking plaintiff’s vehicle.”

Stone’s conduct violated at least three California vehicle regulations, including driving too fast for traffic, making dangerous turns and changing lanes, according to court documents.

In short, the Los Angeles woman is suing Stone for “loss of wages,” “property damage,” “general damages,” and “loss of earning capacity.” She also claims that her trip to the hospital caused her “emotional distress,” “economic harm,” and “non-economic harm.”

Stone has not yet responded to the lawsuit.

This is not the first time Stone has found himself in legal trouble.

In 2012, Stone was sued by her former nanny for allegedly violating employment laws and making derogatory comments about her ethnicity.
