’90s singer looks unrecognizable as he ditches his ‘out of this world’ suits for a chic business look – but can YOU guess who it is?
A ’90s singer looks unrecognizable after ditching his long hair and silver space age crotches for a smart businessman look and thick-rimmed glasses.
But few will remember him as a huge chart-topper whose biggest hit in 1996 spent five weeks at number one in the UK charts.
The song was actually the fastest selling single in the UK for over thirty years.
After turning his back on the music industry that made him a household name, this man co-founded the film production and distribution company Virgin India.
But can YOU guess who this unknown face belongs to?

That’s right, it’s Babylon Zoo frontman Jasbinder Singh Mann (Jas Mann).
It’s been a steady climb to the top for the Dudley-born musician, now aged 51, whose father is a Punjabi Indian and his mother is of Sioux descent.
His most famous single Spaceman, from his album The Boy With The X-Ray Eyes, was featured in a Levi’s ad in 1996, helping it reach the top of the charts.
Jas said at the time, “I write about what it would feel like to be someone from another planet, rather than romanticizing science fiction.”
His references to outer space and aliens stemmed from a feeling of being out of place, saying, “I sometimes feel like a fly in a bowl of milk.”
However, his second album King Kong Groover, released three years later, was not as well received.
He said of one of the songs, All The Money’s Gone: ‘It’s an absolute p***-take. You’d have to be a buffoon to throw away the money I’ve made.”
Determined to make it big one way or another, Jas also found success with indie band The Sandkings.
He then traded music for film in 2008 to become co-chairman and CEO of the multi-million dollar Indomina Group, an independent film studio.
He also produced two episodes of the Cabin Fever franchise.
