90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After star Michael Ilesanmi finally revealed why he left his ex-wife Angela Deem and “disappeared” on Feb. 23 during Sunday’s episode of the TLC reality show.
“She said she wanted to go out to run some errands, so I left the house, went to the closet, grabbed my backpack and my essential documents and my jacket, and left the house.”
Ilesanmi “walked for about five hours” from Deem’s home in Hazlehurst, Georgia and “nearly got bitten by a dog” in the process, but was able to communicate with “one or two of my friends” after “begging a man” to use his phone.
In total, it took the aspiring influencer (who is now said to be living happily with friends in Texas) “approximately 18 hours” to finally reach his current residence by bus.
Michael met the self-proclaimed “Reality Queen” on Facebook in 2017 before tying the knot in 2020, but it was a long-distance affair until he finally received a US visa and moved to Georgia last December.
“I’m here for the right reason, of course, yes, from the bottom of my heart, I’m here for the right reason, you know, but unfortunately, what I expected was not what I found, you know,” Ilesanmi continued.
“I just want to move on with my life. Enough is enough. No one deserves to be treated like this. I want the best for us and for myself, but it’s a shame. I can’t take it anymore.”
At the end of the video, Angela threatens: “I’ll see you soon, Michael. On a plane or in a courtroom.”
In fact, the Florida-born blonde filed a petition to annul her marriage in a Georgia court on June 20, arguing that she had been “fraudulently induced into a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens to marry in order to obtain legal permanent resident status.”
