A former reality star who claimed she was secretly dating a US senator for the past year said her life is at risk following the allegation.
Stephanie Matto, who starred on 90 Day Fiancé, claimed she was in an online romance with a “terrible” government official in a recent TikTok video.
The 33-year-old shared an update on Thursday in which she explained her reasons for exposing the anonymous senator and began sharing more details.
“I’m going to continue to tell my story on TikTok and put it out there even though this is a direct threat to my life and my family,” she said.
Matto claims the unnamed senator would engage in “virtual dates” that involved her consuming meals while he watched in exchange for money.
A former reality star who claimed she was secretly dating a US senator for the past year said her life is at risk following the allegation.
Stephanie Matto, who starred on 90 Day Fiancé, claimed she was in an online romance with a “terrible” government official in a recent TikTok video
The television personality said she and the unnamed senator connected after she appeared on 90 Day Fiancé in 2020.
“That’s how we started scheduling our virtual dates where he would watch me eat,” she said.
‘The virtual dates were pretty innocent. It was literally just me and him talking. I didn’t have the video on so I didn’t watch it for a long time.
“But when I saw him, I quickly realized he was a high-profile US senator.
‘For a year I benefited greatly from these virtual dates with him, but that’s why I stayed silent for so long.’
Matto added: ‘But about two weeks ago, he blocked me on social media and unfollowed me from his burner account on all social media platforms.
‘I think the reason he blocked and unfollowed me is to tell him what I thought about the project he supports.
‘I found it extremely contradictory that he was spending his money and time on certain platforms and websites, living this secret double life.
‘But when it came to politics and his work, he supported things that would make the same things he does illegal.
She believes he is watching her videos somewhere in “middle America.” It is unclear if she is referring to the Republican National Convention being held in Milwaukee.
The 33-year-old shared an update on Thursday in which she explained her reasons for exposing the anonymous senator and began sharing more details.
“The relationship we had was virtual, online. He would constantly schedule virtual dates with me,” she said. “Sometimes he would pay money to watch me eat Taco Bell.”
“I’m going to continue to tell my side of the story. So let me know who you think it is in the comments and maybe I’ll give a thumbs up to who it really happened to,” Matto told his followers.
In a previous video, she explained that she recently decided to “cut ties with him” after his “beliefs” became too “crazy and radical,” and now that it’s all over, she’s opted to throw “some dirt” on the man.
She said that during a virtual date a couple of weeks ago, he asked her if she agreed with the “policies of his political party” and his response left her uneasy.
“He said something very despicable and disturbing to me,” he continued.
“He told me that he doesn’t really care about politics, he doesn’t care about people, he doesn’t care about women. He only cares about the money and the power that he has.”
According to the television personality, she and the unnamed senator would go on “virtual dates” that involved her consuming meals while he watched in exchange for money.
Immediately, people on the web went to work trying to figure out who he was referring to and shared their guesses in the comments section.
The star explained that the senator used a ‘burner account’ to chat with her online.
She also claimed that he once threatened her after she told him she was going to reveal his identity online.
“One of my relatives is an immigrant and he has threatened to deport them,” she said. “Honestly, I am tired.”
Immediately, people on the web went to work trying to figure out who he was referring to.
Some said they believed it was Sen. Eric Schmitt of Missouri, a married Republican who loves to fish.
Others guessed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley and Idaho Sen. Geoff Schroeder.
However, there is no evidence to suggest that any of the senators suggested in the comments have any connection to Matto.
