Margaretha was arrested in October 2023 in connection with allegations of embezzlement at Loggerhead Deco, a Portage, Wisconsin, company involved in the manufacturing of decorative glass bottles. WKOW reported at the time.

Margaretha, a temporary employee of the company, used her account details to distribute money to outside accounts she controlled, Lt. Ben Neuman of the Portage Police Department told the station.

‘On Thursday, October 5, 2023, the owners of Loggerhead Deco notified the Portage Police Department… of an internal theft involving a temporary employee employed as a bookkeeper.

“Through the investigation, it was determined that the employee had made fraudulent payments and withdrawals to various merchant accounts and customers using Loggerhead Deco account information.”

Among the charges Margaretha faced at the time were theft from a business, forgery, data fraud and wire fraud, authorities said.

Police said victims affected by Margaretha told authorities that “several thousand dollars in unauthorized payments and withdrawals had been made from merchant accounts.”
