A six-foot-tall woman has spoken of her struggles so far due to her height – saying her immense size often leaves men “feeling insecure”.
Like most young women in their twenties, Saranya Kari, 26, from Texas, is looking for her soul mate.
But the student, who is six feet tall, struggled to connect with Mr. Right, and she thinks his long physique is to blame.
Saranya thinks that men who are shorter than her “hate” not having the attention on them, so she now decided to date people taller than her.
A 6ft tall woman has spoken out about her struggles so far due to her height – saying her immense size often leaves men “unsure”.
Like most young women in their twenties, Saranya Kari, 26, from Texas, is looking for her soul mate.
But the student, who is 6 feet tall, had trouble connecting with Mr. Right, and she thinks his long physique is to blame.
But it was just as difficult as she discovered that many men “lie” about their height on dating apps – and are shocked to see how tall she is in the flesh.
“It’s hard being that big and (being) a woman and trying to date,” she recently admitted to What’sTheJam.
“Honestly, even though (shorter men) claim to like being with a taller woman, they actually weren’t sure about that.”
Saranya explained that many of the men she has been matched with online have heights over six feet listed in their profiles.
But when she meets them in person, she is often disappointed when she discovers that they are actually shorter than her.
“When you come out behind a screen, you can lie about anything,” she continued.
“I’ve lost track of how many times a man has claimed he’s over six feet tall, then I show up and realize that’s not the case.
“I (once) confronted someone who claimed he was over six feet tall. He was also cute, so I decided to go for it.

Growing up, Saranya said she was insecure about her height because of the nasty comments she received from her peers at school.
“I show up and look for this guy, but then someone walks up to me and he was five foot ten inches tall at best.
“He looked shocked and said, ‘Oh wow, I didn’t expect you to be that big.’ I was really confused because on Hinge I listed six feet for my height.
“The rest of the night he tried to convince me he was six feet tall – or that he was six feet tall if he wore the right shoes. Honestly, I should have left after realizing he lied to me.
She called the process “frustrating” and admitted she felt “defeated” at times.
She believes that men who are smaller than her “hate” not having attention on them.
“I’m starting to think I’m going to have to settle for someone smaller than me or my height because of how many times I’m disappointed,” she said.
Growing up, Saranya said she was insecure about her height due to the nasty comments she received from her peers at school.
“I hated my height because as a woman I stood out like a sore thumb,” she recalls of her childhood.
“I actually started curving, because it made me insecure that my height was attracting so much attention and my partners didn’t like it.
“I have also received hate (online), but the majority, if not all, of the negativity comes from men.
“They call me a liar, they say I’m a hypocrite, they say I should stay single.”
But now she has learned to accept her size.
“At first it bothered me, but now it doesn’t bother me at all. The positives really outweigh the negatives,” she concluded.
“Now I like my size. I love every inch of it – with and without heels.

Another user commented: “Same. I’m 5’10” and my sister is 6’4″ and men are personally and completely offended by our existence.
“It’s not the height. I do not care. He is a LIAR about this, shows bad character,” someone else said.
“I’m 6’1″ and I’m looking at the guy who’s 6’1 lol,” read a fourth response.
Another user added: “I’m even six feet tall. I used to tell guys I was 5’9″ so I could see their little hearts break when I towered over them.
