Sony and PlayStation fans are getting ready to see what the upcoming PlayStation Showcase event will offer, which is expected to contain a lot of exciting announcements. But what about the addresses that were announced and disappeared, do we see them in the event?
Below we will mention to you the 5 most anticipated titles that were announced and then completely disappeared from the news arena, as well as it is expected that we will see some of them in the upcoming and expected PlayStation Showcase event.
5 games that disappeared and may appear in the upcoming PlayStation Showcase event:
- plan8
- Wild
- Pragmata
- Unknown 9: Awakening
- A Quiet Place
plan8
Game plan8 It is one of the titles that we have missed the most for a while, as it has been out of sight since it was announced three years ago until this moment. The game is a massive cooperative MMO that comes to us from the development of the Pearl Abyss team and is also working on it from the creators of the famous Counter Strike series.
Since it was announced, the game has garnered millions of views and many compliments. The strange thing is that it was scheduled to be released on the devices of the last generation, but until now the fate of the game is unknown and there is little news about it.
Wild
Wild, a PlayStation exclusive, is the most enigmatic title around. The game was announced in 2014, that is, at the beginning of the last generation, so that the Wild Sheep studio is working on it, and since then the game has completely disappeared from appearing except with simple news that denies its cancellation and only preaches the development process.
But what really aroused suspicion, is the departure of its creative director, Michel Ancel, from the developer studio in 2020, which made some believe that it was canceled, but so far there is no official announcement of that. The game is in the genre of survival, set during the prehistoric period of the Neolithic era.
Within the game world, the player controls a human and can use small animals to spy on others, or larger animals to support the player and his tribe in battles with other humans. Animals can be controlled using shamanic powers. Once you “own” an animal, the gameplay shifts to the point of view of the being you’re controlling, and then you navigate the world using that animal’s skills and characteristics. The question is do we see it in the next event?
Pragmata
Capcom’s new masterpiece, Pragmata is a sci-fi action-adventure game. It was announced in 2020 as a completely new project that the company is working on. Since then, the game has only appeared twice with minor demos.
It is highly expected that the game will appear in the upcoming PlayStation Showcase event, given the nature of the good relationship between Sony, Capcom and PlayStation, and indeed this is what we players want. The company is said to be targeting a flag launch this year as well, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Unknown 9: Awakening
Unknown 9: Awaking was announced in 2020 and attracted many players because of its strangeness in the only review above. This game comes to us from Reflector Entertainment which is a new team and this is their first project.
The game will operate as part of an interconnected universe revealed through interlocking stories told across different types of media, some of which have already been released. In other words, the game is based on several cinematic stories and novels, some of which can be found online. Therefore, we hope that it will appear in the next event, so that we can know more about it.
A Quiet Place
This is one of the most recent games announced as it happened in October 2021. Upon the announcement, Saber Interactive told us that more information about it will be announced later that year. It was scheduled to be released in 2022.
The last time we got information about the game was through the initial announcement, including social media posts. From the name of the game, we conclude that it is taken from the movie of the same name, which is of the horror genre. Of course, we hope that it will appear in the next PlayStation event.
These are the absent titles and we hope for their return. We recall that the PlayStation Showcase event will begin on the twenty-fifth of this month. What are your expectations?
