Kyle Juszczyk criticized a San Francisco 49ers reporter in a bizarre discussion about locker room interviews with players.
The NFL Players Association is urging the league to make “immediate changes” and move interviews away from where stars suit up.
“Players feel that locker room interviews invade their privacy and are uncomfortable,” read a statement Friday.
The NFLPA did not name any specific reporters, but Juszczyk highlighted reporter Grant Cohn, who covers San Francisco for Sports Illustrated, on social media.
“Maybe we can stop Grant Cohn from always hanging around our lockers while we change,” the 49ers fullback said.

“I’m starting to think that certain 49ers players don’t like me,” Cohn wrote on X, formerly Twitter, shortly afterward. He then shared an article calling for the 49ers to sit Juszczyk and added, “I stand behind this.”
Meanwhile, two-time Super Bowl champion Torrey Smith accused reporters of looking at players’ private parts.
“If they only knew how uncomfortable some of the male reporters act,” she wrote in social networks.
Juszczyk, 33, has been with the 49ers since 2017 and was a first-team All-Pro in 2023 when San Francisco reached the Super Bowl.
Juszczyk and company were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs, and the defenseman’s wife, Kristin, made headlines after making custom jackets for the likes of Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes.
Reporters are typically allowed into locker rooms a few days a week to talk to players after games and practices.
The 33-year-old fullback, pictured with his wife Kristin, has been with the 49ers since 2017.
The NFLPA insists it is not trying to “limit media access” but just wants to “respect the privacy and dignity of players.”
“Over the past three years, the NFLPA has attempted to work with the NFL and Pro Football Writers of America to get media interviews out of the locker room,” the statement said.
‘However, there has been little willingness to collaborate on a new solution. Players feel that locker room interviews invade their privacy and are uncomfortable.
The NFLPS continued: ‘The NFL’s current media policy is outdated. We, the NFLPA Executive Committee, urge the NFL to make immediate changes to foster a more respectful and safe workplace for all players.
“In the meantime, we encourage each player to request interviews outside of the locker room during the week.”
