San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Trent Williams was ejected from his team’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs for hitting opponent Bryan Cook in the head with a forceful blow after he had finished a play.
It had been a frustrating afternoon for the 49ers in a rematch of this year’s Super Bowl, with San Francisco’s offense faltering against the Chiefs with just one touchdown the day before the final moments of the game.
After a play with just over two minutes left in the game, a downed Williams was hit in the head by Chiefs safety Bryan Cook. Williams stood up and dealt a much more barbaric blow to a helmeted Cook.
